first_img1 Comment ShareTweetShareShareEmailCommentsThe players of Barcelona are the first finalists of this years’ EHF VELUX Final Four in Koln. In the first semi-final, they have beaten Vive Kielce, a team that has no reason to be unhappy – they had their best season ever in club history, but in this semi-final had to concede to a better Barcelona team. Barcelona were having slight lead throughout most of the game, and at half time took 13:10 lead. Same continued in the first half 15 minutes of the game, however since the 45th minute it was Barcelona’s best run, as they made it quickly to +4 and then +5 and +6, Bogdan Wenta‘s strategy of using 7th player instead of the goalkeeper failing, and Barcelona using this for easy goals. In the end Barcelona won with 28:23, a well-deserved victory, and they will be playing tomorrow their 12the EHF Champions League final in club history against the winner of the second semi-final between THW Kiel and HSV Hamburg.Siarhei Rutenka was superb for Barcelona, being the top scorer of the game with 8 goals, while Juanin Garcia scored 5 goals.
